Below is a concise summary of the SenderID Registration Process
As part of ongoing efforts to combat fraudulent SMS activity, the Irish Commission
for Communications Regulation (ComReg) has introduced a new SMS Sender ID
Registry. This change affects all organisations sending SMS messages in Ireland,
including those using HSI Skillko.
However, if your organisation prefers to continue using its own name as the Sender
ID, you will need to register that name with ComReg via their official registry portal:
https://senderid.comreg.ie/
To help you through this process, we’ve provided a step-by-step guide below that
outlines how to register your Sender ID and ensure your messages are delivered
reliably and securely.
1. Go to https://senderid.comreg.ie/ and click on Sign up
2. Choose Company as the Organisation Type, enter Trademark Numbers as 00000
check I don’t have a CRO number and enter your other details as requested.
3. Enter the SenderID you wish to send SMS messages under and assign Skillko as a 3rd
party. Upload the completed template provided in our email using the upload
documentation function.
4. Finish your application and submit the details.
5. Once this process is complete you will be invited to create an account on the
ComReg site to maintain your SenderID details.
